Editorial policy
This page explains how articles on the Biblelings blog are written, checked and corrected. They are published under the byline Biblelings Editors.
What we publish
The Biblelings blog publishes gentle retellings of Bible stories for young children, and short guides for parents, such as bedtime prayers or how to tell a story to a toddler.
Retellings, with the passage cited
A retelling is a simplified, child-friendly version of a Bible story. It is not the Bible's own words, and we say so in the article. Each retelling names the passage it comes from (for example, Daniel 6), so you can read the original with your child.
When an article quotes scripture directly, it marks the words as a quotation and names the translation. If you find one that does not, please tell us.
How articles are written and checked
Articles are written with AI assistance. Each article goes through an automated review for accuracy, tone and our editorial rules before it is published. The Biblelings team corrects articles when issues are found, so a published article may be updated later.
Illustrations on the blog are made with AI image tools in a soft storybook style. They are pictures for children, not historical depictions.
Non-denominational
Biblelings is not affiliated with any church or denomination. We retell what the passage says and avoid taking sides on questions where Christian traditions differ, leaving those to families and their church.
Not professional advice
Our articles are for families sharing Bible stories. They are not medical, psychological or legal advice. For questions about your child's health, sleep or development, talk to your doctor.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake in an article, email hello@biblelings.com with the page and what is wrong. We check it against the passage and fix the article.
